Young Professionals Organization Being Formed
Posted: 11/09/2009
Throughout West Virginia, young professionals are making an impact in leadership roles within businesses and the community. Recognizing the needs and interests of this unique group, the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of a new young professionals organization called North Central Young Leaders Association (NCYLA). This division of the Chamber will serve the needs of young professionals within the county between the ages of 21 and 40.
The NCYLA will focus around three key components: networking, community involvement, and development. The group will host monthly events for networking and building business relationships, provide opportunities for involvement in community service, and develop programs for the professional growth of its members. The NCYLA will further serve as an avenue to increase the participation of young professionals within the Chamber in all of its initiatives.
The NCYLA will exist as a group within the Chamber, and, as such, any current Chamber member within the age demographic may become a member of this group and participate in all of its activities. Additionally, non-Chamber members will be encouraged to join the Chamber through the NCYLA, and will be offered a discounted individual Chamber Membership at a rate of $50 per year.
An oversight committee has been formed to develop this organization. We are looking for individuals within the age demographic who are interested in playing an active role in launching this organization. If you are interested in joining the North Central Young Leaders Association, please contact the Chamber at invo@harrisoncountychamber.com. .
Please see caledar of events for next networking opportunity!
