Kathy was selected to lead the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce in August 1999. Kathy previously worked at the Marion County Chamber of Commerce for more than ten years.

In addition to over 26 years of Chamber experience, Kathy was awarded the IOM graduate recognition after completing the US Chamber of Commerce's Institute for Organization Management in 2000. She has also participated in economic development basic training through the Council for Urban Economic Development, completed Leadership West Virginia in 2003, and completed the three-year Community Development Institute East program 2006. She earned her Professional Community & Economic Developer (PCED) certification in 2006 through the national Community Development Council and was recertified as a PCED in 2009, 2012 and again in 2015.

As Chamber President, Kathy serves on the United Hospital Center Board of Directors 2010-2015 and is serving her fourth appointment on the Region VI Workforce Investment Board and is a Past Chair of that Board. She currently serves on the I-79 Development Council and is a member of the West Virginia Economic Development Council and the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. She is a past President of the Mountaineer Development Council, is a past President of the West Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, and a former member of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Kathy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mountain State University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, Management and Development. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for HOPE, Inc. Task Force on Domestic Violence. Kathy is a native of the north central West Virginia area.


Mary Beth Aman, IOM, Membership & Marketing Director

Mary Beth has been with the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce since 1994. During that time, she has served with many board of directors, community leaders and other professional business leaders. In August 2005, Mary Beth received the IOM graduate recognition through the US Chamber's Institute for Organization Management at Villanova University.

Mary Beth graduated from the 2001 Leadership Harrison Program. She currently serves on the Harrison County Student Achievement Scholarship Board and the Highland Fund. She has served on the WV Chamber's Small Business Committee, Governor's I-79 Highway Safety Council and is a members of the WV Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. She has served as Secretary of the United Way of Harrison County's Board of Directors.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Banking from Fairmont State College. In addition, she completed the ACC-I Insurance Adjuster Certification Program in Chicago, IL.

A native of Harrison County, she is married to Tom, who is the former Managing Member of Arnett, Carbis, Toothman PLLC, and they have one son Thomas Jr., an attorney at Steptoe & Johnson, and a granddaughter Emily.
